About

Jennifer Smoker, LPC

Hi, my name is Jennifer and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have over 10 years experience working with children, teens, and families. I received my Bachelors degree from Millersville University and my Masters degree from Shippensburg University. I have three children and in my free time I love being outside, reading, and spending time with my family.

My goal is to create a trusting relationship where change can occur. I believe parents play a huge role in their child's success and encourage involvement. The style of therapy I provide is cognitive behavioral therapy as well as child centered and mindfulness. I am trained to work with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and family issues.

If you feel that I would be a good fit for you or your child, please contact me. I understand that admitting there is an issue and asking for help is hard, but please know the struggles you are facing isn't something you or your child have to go through alone. I am here to help provide comfort and understanding during a challenging time.

Hi! It’s nice to meet you! Looking for someone to help is a tough process — but I am here to support you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), who has experience working with children, teens, and adults as well as being trained in family therapy, drug and alcohol therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. Within any of those types of therapy, my philosophy is that relationships and connections are healing.   Challenging times happen, and we all need support to grow into our best selves.

For my formal education, I attended Lebanon Valley College and received a bachelors degree in both Sociology and Psychology, and then pursued a master’s degree in School Counseling at West Chester University. Personally, I have a passion for health, fitness and nutrition as well as spending time with my family.

Brianna Sears, LMFT

Brianna Sears

Hello, my name is Brianna.  I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with nearly 6 years of experience working with children and families.  After receiving my degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, I began my career by working with children and families in a community based service.  I spent time working with children and adults in their homes, communities, and school settings.  I have recently made the transition into an outpatient setting to provide support for children and families working through anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, family dysfunction, divorce, etc.  I practice using various approaches including: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment therapy, and various family therapy models, such as experiential, strategic and structural family therapy.  I am currently working on a certificate to be a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.  I have also completed training to earn a certificate in Family Based Therapy, which uses an ecosystemic structural family therapy model.

I work in the mental health field with a systemic approach.  I value the client's relationships and will explore the interactions that take place in the client's systemic world, meaning their supports in the family, in the school, and with peers.  I place significant value on the closest relationships to the client and will work with caregivers and children in an effort to reduce symptoms and improve connections.

For formal education, I attended Mansfield University for my Bachelors in Psychology.  I then proceeded on to obtain a Masters in Marriage and Family therapy from Appalachian State University.

Suzanne Shinn, LSW

I am a Licensed Social Worker with over 30 years of experience helping both children and adults release themselves from habits and thoughts that prevent them from living their fullest lives.  I have a Master’s Degree from Temple University.  In 2010 I graduated from Inner Source Healing Arts School, thereby enhancing my ability to foster one’s ability to tap into self compassion and creativity which can lead to enhanced personal growth.

My main goal is to assist you with recognizing the limitations that prevent you from your ultimate healing experience, and to increase your ability to have healthy loving relationships with yourself and others.

My passions in life include Choreography, Singing and SongWriting, and Theatre.  I find that all of these things add to the therapeutic experience for many clients. Understanding how our bodies can move through anxiety and other stressors, and how we can tap into our own life scripts can be highly empowering.

I have two grown children, and two cats.
